RenaPlus is used to provide your pets with the potassium they need when they suffer from hypokalemia (low blood potassium). Low potassium levels are common in pets with kidney (renal) problems and can also occur because of other medical conditions.
Commonly known as potassium gluconate, RenaPlus Powder works by helping to treat and prevent potassium deficiency, known as hypokalemia. For animals with kidney disease, a potassium deficiency is a common symptom associated with the disease.

The suggested dose of RenaPlus for adult cats and dogs is 0.65 g (1/4 level teaspoon) per 10 lb (4.5 kg) body weight twice daily with food. Dosage may be adjusted to satisfy patient’s need.
Federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.
Use with caution in the presence of cardiac disease, particularly in digitalized patients or in the presence of renal disease.
Do not administer in diseases where high potassium levels may be encountered, such as severe renal insufficiency or adrenal insufficiency.
Store tightly closed container in a dry place at temperatures not exceeding 35°C (95°F).
