Posatex Otic Suspension is an anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal medication for dogs that treats otitis externa associated with susceptible strains of yeast and bacteria.

Key Benefits

  • Antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antifungal medication, treats otitis externa in dogs
  • Simple once-a-day dosing into the ear canal

How It Works

Posatex Otic Suspension contains anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal properties to treat otitis externa, which is inflammation in the ear canal due to yeast and bacteria. Dogs with floppy ears tend to more susceptible to otitis externa since there is a limited amount of air-flow to the ear which creates a moist dark environment where bacteria and yeast thrive. Posatex Otic Suspension works by combining a broad spectrum antibiotic called Orbifloxacin, a potent anti-inflammatory agent called Mometasone Furoate Monohydrate and Novel triazole, a antifungal new to animal health.

Posatex Otic Suspension is indicated for the treatment of otitis externa in dogs associated with susceptible strains of yeast (Malassezia pachydermatis) and bacteria (coagulase positive staphylococci, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Enterococcus faecalis)

Posatex Otic Suspension is a registered trademark of Intervet Inc., d/b/a Merck Animal Health, a subsidiary of Merck & Co. Inc.
