Green Eyes
March 28, 2020
I rescue cats and I'm part of the TNVR program. I'm not sure exactly what causes it, but I get quite a few cats that have so much green slime in their eyes that it has hardened and they can no longer open or close them like they should be able to do. While I generally give them an antibiotic as well, these eye drops most definitely get the green out. It may take some time to clean their eyes if they're feral, but once you do and start using Ofloxacin Ophthalmic Solution, their eyes will clean easier and heal much quicker than if you just clean them. And at first, I do use it more than twice a day. Although I do believe that giving an oral or injectable antibiotic is needed as well, I have found that having these drops does get the green out much quicker.
