Equioxx is specifically indicated for the control of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis in both horses and dogs. This targeted Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug (NSAID) helps to effectively alleviate key signs of discomfort and lameness, leading to improved mobility and a better quality of life for animals suffering from this degenerative joint condition.

The active ingredient in Equioxx is firocoxib.
For both Dogs and Horses: Not for use in humans. Keep this and all medications out of the reach of children. Consult a physician in case of accidental ingestion by humans.
For Dogs: Keep Firocoxib Chewable Tablets for Dogs in a secure location out of reach of dogs, cats, and other animals to prevent accidental ingestion or overdose.
A thorough history and physical examination should be performed before starting NSAID therapy. Appropriate laboratory tests should be conducted to establish baseline data and monitored periodically. Observe for signs of potential drug toxicity and provide the Client Information Sheet to the person treating the horse. Treatment should be terminated if signs such as inappetence, colic, abnormal feces, or lethargy are observed.
As a class, cyclooxygenase inhibitory NSAIDs may be associated with gastrointestinal, renal, and hepatic toxicity. Use with caution in dehydrated horses, those on diuretic therapy, or those with existing renal, cardiovascular, and/or hepatic dysfunction. Avoid concurrent administration of potentially nephrotoxic drugs or other anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs or corticosteroids). Monitor drug compatibility in patients requiring adjunctive therapy.
The safe use in horses less than one year old, breeding horses, or pregnant/lactating mares has not been evaluated. Consider appropriate washout times when switching NSAIDs or corticosteroids.
