Cestex (epsiprantel) 12.5 mg is an oral medication used to treat tapeworm infections in dogs and cats.
Epsiprantel, the active ingredient of Cestex, is an anthelminthic (dewormer). It paralyzes the tapeworm which causes it to lose its grip on your pet's intestinal wall. The tapeworm is then digested with no sign of the parasite seen in the stool after treatment.
Cestex tablets are indicated for the removal of the following:
Feline cestodes: Dipylidium caninum and Taenia taeniaeformis
Canine cestodes: Dipylidium caninum and Taenia pisiformis
