Administration Instructions

  • Cattle: Use a 16-gauge, ½–¾ inch sterile needle. Inject subcutaneously under loose skin in front of or behind the shoulder. Use only automatic syringe equipment with 50 mL, 500 mL, or 1000 mL bottles.
  • Swine: Inject subcutaneously in the neck behind the ear. Use a 16–18 gauge needle for adults, and an 18–20 gauge needle for younger pigs. Clean the site with alcohol and disinfect the rubber stopper before use.
  • Use sterile, disinfected equipment to prevent injection site infections.
  • Observe animals for injection site reactions. Do not administer intravenously or intramuscularly.

Recommended Swine Treatment Program

Breeding Stock:

  • Sows: Treat 7–14 days before farrowing.
  • Gilts: Treat 7–14 days prior to breeding.
  • Boars: Treat at least twice annually or as needed based on exposure risk.

Feeder Pigs: Treat weaner/grower/finisher pigs before moving into clean quarters. Retreatment may be necessary in contaminated environments.

Important Notes:

  1. For mange, prevent reinfestation by treating all animals and allowing at least 7 days before moving pigs into clean areas.
  2. Louse eggs may take 3 weeks to hatch. Retreatment may be required for complete control.
  3. Consult your veterinarian for herd-level parasite control planning.

Special Minor Species Use

  • Reindeer: Inject 200 mcg/kg subcutaneously for warbles (Oedemagena tarandi). Follow cattle administration guidelines.
