Description

Vectra 3D for Dogs 21-55 lbs protects your dog against parasites and pathogens. Vectra 3D uses a three-pronged approach to keep your dog safe from disease-carrying agents by utilizing Dinotefuran, Permethrin and Pyriproxyfen.

The Dinotefuran is an insecticide that functions by causing continuous stimulation of the nervous system of insects upon first contact. This stimulation leads to tremors and quick deaths in insects as they land on your dog. Permethrin is an adulticide and works to repel vectors, such as mosquitoes, ticks and sand flies by causing them to lose control of their nervous system. Lastly, Pyripoxyfen, an insect growth regulator, works to prevent development of fleas in their early stages. This keeps them as eggs, larvae, and pupae until the other active ingredients functionally decimate them.

Vectra 3D has been clinically shown to provide fast-acting protection against multiple pests lasting up to one month. In addition to repelling mosquitoes, ticks, and sand flies, Vectra 3D repels and kills fleas, lice, and mites quickly and effectively. In fact, it has been shown to reduce the number of ticks in only 24-hours and begins killing fleas within the first two hours of use.

Vectra 3D remains effective after bathing and it can be used on dogs and puppies older than 7 weeks. Vectra 3D comes in 4 dosing sizes based on your dog’s body weight. The product is available for all weights in packs of 3-doses and packs of 6-doses. Vectra 3D Purple for Dogs & Puppies is intended for dogs between 56 and 95 pounds and this particular package comes with 6 doses. For heavier dogs, use Vectra 3D Red and for lighter dogs use Vectra 3D Green or Vectra 3D Blue. Vectra 3D is also available for Cats and Kittens.

Please read the application instructions thoroughly before applying Vectra 3D to your dogs.

FAQ

View Vectra 3D official FAQ.

Can Vectra 3D be used on pets other than dogs?

No. Do not use Vectra 3D on cats, or any other animal.

Do parasites have to bite in order for Vectra 3D to work?

No. Vectra 3D kills fleas and ticks through contact with your pet's fur. No biting necessary.

Does Vectra 3D control other parasites besides fleas and ticks?

Certainly. The active ingredients of Vectra 3D are proven to protect your dog from the six major vectors: Fleas, Ticks, Mosquitoes, Flies, Mites* and Lice. (*Excluding mange mites.)

How does Vectra 3D kill fleas and ticks on my dog?

Vectra 3D protects because of the triple-action formula of Dinotefuran, Pyriproxifen, and Permethrin. These ingredients work together to kill fleas and ticks on contact and repel these dangerous parasites by causing a "hot foot" reaction - once parasites land on your dog, they are physically compelled to crawl back up the fur, away from the skin, without biting.

How quickly does Vectra 3D begin to work?

Clinical studies have shown that on dogs treated with the active ingredients in Vectra 3DŽ, flea feeding is reduced within five minutes and fleas are killed in 6 hours.

Is it okay for my pet to bathe or swim after applying Vectra 3D?

Sure. Vectra 3D remains effective in controlling fleas and ticks for a full month if your pet is immersed in water through swimming or regular bathing.

Is it okay to apply Vectra 3D more than once a month?

No, only apply Vectra 3D once in a 30-day period. It is not necessary for more frequent applications - Vectra 3D provides powerful protection against fleas and ticks for a full month!

What age does my dog need to be before I can apply Vectra 3D?

Vectra 3D can be used on puppies as young as 8 weeks of age.

Why am I still seeing fleas on my dog after applying Vectra 3D?

The repellency of Vectra 3D causes fleas and ticks to rise to the surface of your dog's fur coat where they are visible. A happy, healthy flea or tick would much prefer to remain invisible below the fur. Parasites seen on your dog after application are no longer a threat to the animal and are about to perish.
