Valbazen Broad Spectrum Dewormer is an oral suspension anthelmintic containing 11.36% Albendazole, approved for use in cattle, sheep, and non-lactating goats. It delivers effective control of internal parasites, including liver flukes, tapeworms, gastrointestinal worms, and lungworms. Ideal for rotational deworming programs, Valbazen helps maintain herd health and productivity.

Indications

  • Cattle: Removal and control of adult liver flukes (Fasciola hepatica), tapeworms, stomach worms, intestinal worms, and lungworms.

  • Goats (non-lactating): Treatment of adult liver flukes only.

Use in Cattle and Sheep

Valbazen for cattle and sheep aids in the removal and control of the following internal parasites:

  • Adult liver flukes (Fasciola hepatica)
  • Tapeworms
  • Stomach worms
  • Intestinal worms
  • Lungworms

Use in Goats

Valbazen for goats is indicated for the treatment of adult liver flukes in non-lactating goats only.

Directions

Valbazen 11.36% Suspension Dosage & Administration

Valbazen Broad Spectrum Dewormer should be administered orally using a standard dosing syringe or drench gun. Dosage is based on species and body weight to ensure accurate and effective parasite control.

Recommended Dosage Rates

  • Cattle and Goats: 4 mL per 100 lb of body weight (equivalent to 4.54 mg/lb or 10 mg/kg of Albendazole)
  • Sheep: 0.75 mL per 25 lb of body weight (equivalent to 3.4 mg/lb or 7.5 mg/kg of Albendazole)

  • Cattle:
    • 500 mL treats 25 head at 500 lb
    • 1 liter treats 50 head

  • Sheep:
    • 500 mL treats 332 head at 50 lb
    • 1 liter treats 664 head
    • 5 liters treats 3,320 head
  • Goats:
    • 500 mL treats 250 head at 50 lb
    • 1 liter treats 500 head
    • 5 liters treats 2,500 head

Important Administration Notes

  • Administer orally only. Use a calibrated dosing syringe or drench gun.
  • Estimate body weight as accurately as possible to avoid under- or overdosing.
  • Animals under constant parasite exposure may require retreatment per veterinary guidance.

Residue Warnings

  • Cattle: Do not slaughter within 27 days after last treatment.
  • Sheep & Goats: Do not slaughter within 7 days after treatment.
  • Milk Withdrawal: Do not use in lactating does or female dairy cattle of breeding age; a withdrawal time in milk has not been established.

Precautions

  • Do not treat female cattle during the first 45 days of pregnancy or within 45 days of bull removal.
  • Do not treat ewes or does during the first 30 days of pregnancy or within 30 days of ram or buck removal.
  • Consult a veterinarian for diagnosis, dosing recommendations, and parasite control strategies.
