Ingredients
Active Ingredient: Silver Sulfadiazine 1% (10 mg per gram of cream)
Directions
- Thoroughly clean the affected area using an appropriate antiseptic solution before applying the cream.
- Apply a thin layer of Silvadene (Silver Sulfadiazine) Cream 1% (approximately 1/16 inch thick) once or twice daily, or as directed by your veterinarian.
- Use sterile gloves or a clean applicator to apply the cream to prevent contamination.
- The wound may be left uncovered or covered with a non-stick sterile dressing, depending on veterinary instructions.
- Reapply cream to any areas where it has been removed by activity or dressing changes.
- Continue treatment until the wound is healed or your veterinarian advises discontinuation.
Precautions:
- For external veterinary use only.
- Do not use in animals with known sulfa allergies or hypersensitivity to silver sulfadiazine.
- Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.
