HyCoat Topical Wound Management Solution for Dogs, Cats and Horses to treat any number of conditions in your four-legged friend. This topical wound management solution is sterile and conforms to any wound site. It helps to seal nerve endings for reduced pain and minimizes the chance of a wound becoming infected. It also helps to manage scars. This solution is ideal for many wounds, including pressure ulcers, first- and second-degree burns, surgical wounds, venous stasis ulcers and autograft procedures.

How It Works

Hycoat works by coating nerve endings that relay pain indication to the brain. Its versatile formula also provides scar maintenance and reduces the chance of infection in/at any wounded area.

Indications

Topical wound management solution.For dogs, cats and horses.

  • Pressure ulcers (Stages I-IV)

Directions

  1. Cleanse wound/surgical site.
  2. Withdraw the HA solution.
  3. Dispense topically onto the wound site.
  4. Cover wound area with a non-adherent dressing.
  5. Change dressing as needed, repeating application of HYCOAT.

Characteristics

  1. Helps manage surgically induced and chronic wounds by providing a moisture rich environment and acts as a tissue coating.
  2. Protects the wound bed by the formation of an occlu-sive gelatinous barrier (coating), reducing the chance for infection.
  3. Helps reduce pain at the wound site (through occlusive properties) by sealing off nerve endings that signal pain.
  4. Conforms to any wound site.

Caution:

Not for food animal use. Federal law restricts this device to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian. Discard unused portion.

Precautions:

Not intended for use as a long-term or permanent dressing. Hycoat is to be dispensed by prescription only. Not for use in horses hypersensitive (allergic) to any of the components of an injectable hyaluronate product. Do not use in joints where the skin has been recently fired or blistered, or has had counterirritants applied.

Possible Side Effects

May see local reactions including increased warmth or swelling at the site of application. Consult your veterinarian if you notice any of these side effects. These effects usually disappear in 24-96 hours.

Store at a temperature between (15-30°C or 59-86°F).Protect from freezing.Sterile when unopened.
