Description

Cerenia Tablets for Dogs is the first FDA-approved oral antiemetic for dogs, specifically formulated to prevent vomiting caused by motion sickness. Its active ingredient, maropitant citrate, works by blocking the brain signals that trigger nausea and vomiting—offering fast and effective relief during travel or stressful conditions.

Medical Use

Cerenia Tablets are indicated for the prevention of acute vomiting and vomiting due to motion sickness in dogs. This treatment is approved for use in dogs 8 weeks of age or older.

Key Benefits

  • Effectively prevents acute vomiting in dogs
  • Controls vomiting caused by motion sickness during travel
  • Available in four tablet strengths to suit various weight ranges
  • Convenient once-daily oral dosing
  • Non-sedating—keeps your dog alert and comfortable

How It Works

Cerenia is classified as an antiemetic. It targets a chemical in the brain called substance P, which is responsible for triggering the vomiting reflex. By blocking the receptors for substance P, the active ingredient maropitant citrate helps prevent nausea and vomiting associated with motion sickness or other causes.
