Description

Prozap Insectrin CS is an oil-based, ready-to-use pyrethroid insecticide combining 7.4% permethrin with 7.4% piperonyl butoxide synergist. It's EPA?registered and formulated for broad use on livestock and premises. It's effective against a variety of flying and biting pests such as horn flies, face flies, stable flies, horse flies, mosquitoes, black flies, lice, ticks, sheep keds, fleas, and more.

  • Multi-application versatility: Use as pour?on, wipe-on, spray-on (mist sprayer), spot spray, or in back-rubber devices by mixing in mineral oil.
  • Suitable for multiple species: Approved for use on beef/dairy cattle (including lactating), calves, sheep, lambs, and horses—excluding pour-on for foals.
  • Premise treatment capability: One 500 mL undiluted spray treats approximately 7,200 ft² of barns, pens, kennels, and meat-processing area.

    Dosage & Application Guide:

    Cattle & Calves
  • Pour-on / Spray: 2?mL per 100?lb body weight (max 20?mL per animal). Apply every 14 days as needed.
  • Back-rubber: Mix 64?mL per gallon of mineral oil (~2.1?oz) and maintain equipment saturation for optimal efficacy.

  • Sheep & Lambs
  • Pour-on: 1?mL per 50?lb (max 12?mL per animal), ideally post-shearing.

  • Horses (Mature Only)
  • Wipe-on: 8–16?mL evenly applied via cloth to head, legs, neck, and shoulders, avoiding eyes.
  • Spray: 8–16?mL in mist sprayer directed onto ticks or to repel biting flies after exercise.
  • Pour-on: 8–16?mL along mane and face (exclude eyes). Do not use on foals.

  • Premises / Spot Spray
  • Ready-to-use: Apply undiluted in mist form—500?mL covers ~7,200?ft². Reapply to maintain residual control.

  • Safety & Precautions:
    • Moderate eye irritant; may cause allergic skin reactions with chronic exposure.
    • Toxic to fish, aquatic organisms, and bees—avoid application near water and bloom periods.
    • Flammable: Keep away from ignition sources; flash point at 85?°C (Tag CC).
    • PPE required: Long sleeves, pants, shoes, socks, and chemical-resistant gloves; for misting indoors, add respirator, coveralls, and eye protection.
    • Proper handling & storage: Ground containers and equipment, store securely in a cool, ventilated space, lock away from children and animals.
    • Disposal: Triple-rinse containers; do not dump in water drains without EPA permit.
