PancrePlus is a pancreatic enzyme concentrate of porcine origin fortified with vitamins A, D3 and E. It is indicated for use as a digestive aid in replacement therapy where digestion of protein, carbohydrate and fat is inadequate due to exocrine pancreatic insufficiency.

How It Works
PancrePlus Powder can be mixed with moistened dry or canned food. In order to bring the enzymes into contact with food particles, PancrePlus should be thoroughly mixed. The pancreatic enzyme concentrate contains protease, lipase, and amylase, which are three major enzymes. Fats are broken down by lipase; protein is broken down by protease; and carbohydrates are broken down by amylase. All of these breakdowns are crucial to proper nutrition.

Dose is administered before each meal. Estimate dose according to the severity of the condition and weight of the animal.
Average dose/meal:
- Dogs: 2-3 tablets
- Cats: 1/2-1 tablet

Schnauzer came down with pancreatitis, and was almost skeletal in appearance. It took several weeks to stabilize the weight loss, but now have the dosage balanced and his weight has returned. We also found that too much can make the stool loose as well as too little. We use a 2-3-2-1 program, two tablets with the dry, three tablets with the wet & dry meal at noon, and a single with a late evening "snack".We found that the 3 meals with the med stabilized the weight loss and worked slowly, but a "snack" of a handful of dry food with one tablet just before bedtime seemed to accelerate the weight regain.

- Tablets are so much easier than the powder to dispense and the dose is consistent.
