Onsior (Robenacoxib) Tablets for Cats are a fast-acting, veterinarian-recommended nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) designed to manage acute pain and inflammation following soft-tissue or orthopedic surgery in cats. With targeted action and selective COX-2 inhibition, Onsior provides effective pain relief while minimizing gastrointestinal side effects.
Onsior contains robenacoxib, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that specifically targets the COX-2 enzyme responsible for pain and inflammation. Unlike traditional NSAIDs, it spares the COX-1 enzyme, which helps maintain healthy stomach lining and platelet function. The medication is rapidly absorbed into the bloodstream and begins acting quickly, offering targeted relief with fewer gastrointestinal side effects.
Always administer Onsior exactly as prescribed by your veterinarian. Not for long-term use. Monitor your cat for any signs of adverse reactions during treatment.

Owners should be informed about potential side effects and signs of intolerance (vomiting, lethargy, dark stool, jaundice, seizures, behavioral changes). If adverse symptoms occur, discontinue use immediately and contact a veterinarian. Early recognition can reduce severity and support recovery.
In a multi-site, placebo-controlled study of 249 cats undergoing surgery, Onsior tablets demonstrated significant improvement in pain relief compared to placebo (83.5% success rate vs. 53.8%). The treatment group also showed improvements in posture, incision sensitivity, and post-op behavior.
Store Onsior tablets at controlled room temperature: 59°F to 77°F (15°C – 25°C). Protect from moisture and sunlight.
