Description

Nobivac Canine 3-DAPv is a modified live virus vaccine recommended for the vaccination of healthy dogs to prevent disease caused by canine distemper virus and canine parvovirus, and as an aid in the prevention of disease caused by canine adenovirus types 1 and 2 (infectious canine hepatitis and tracheobronchitis). The vaccine provides up to three years of protection following proper initial and booster vaccinations.

Directions

Directions for Use

  • Administer 1 mL subcutaneously to healthy dogs as early as 7 weeks of age.
  • Repeat with 1 mL booster doses every 3 to 4 weeks until the dog reaches 12 weeks of age.
  • Dogs over 12 weeks should receive two 1 mL doses, 3–4 weeks apart, for primary immunization.
  • Revaccinate every 3 years with a single 1 mL dose.

Safety Information

  • Safe for administration to puppies as young as 7 weeks of age.
  • High-titer strains of canine parvovirus (CPV) and distemper virus proven safe for dogs as young as 4 weeks of age.
  • No vaccine-related adverse reactions or injection site issues were reported in challenge studies.

Precautions

  • Store between 2°C–7°C (35°F–45°F).
  • Do not freeze.
  • Do not mix with other vaccines or veterinary products.
  • Use sterile, non-chemically sterilized needles and syringes.
  • Burn all unused vaccine and empty containers following use.

Warnings

  • Contains gentamicin as a preservative.
  • Vaccinate only healthy, parasite-free dogs.
  • Do not vaccinate pregnant bitches.
  • Biological products may cause anaphylaxis or immune-mediated hypersensitivity reactions.
  • Emergency Treatment: Epinephrine, corticosteroids, and antihistamines may be indicated depending on the reaction.
  • The timing of active immunity development varies depending on the bitch's antibody levels and the puppy’s absorption of colostral antibodies.
