Mometavet Otic Suspension is a prescription ear medication formulated for dogs to treat otitis externa—an inflammation of the outer ear canal. This condition is often caused by susceptible strains of yeast (Malassezia pachydermatis) and bacteria (Pseudomonas spp., coagulase-positive staphylococci, Enterococcus faecalis, Proteus mirabilis, and beta-hemolytic streptococci).

Triple-Action Formula: Combines gentamicin sulfate (antibiotic), mometasone furoate (anti-inflammatory steroid), and clotrimazole (antifungal) to address bacterial and fungal infections while reducing inflammation.
Targeted Treatment: Specifically designed for canine otitis externa, ensuring effective relief from symptoms like itching, redness, and discharge.

Ingredients

Gentamicin Sulfate
A broad-spectrum antibiotic that targets and kills harmful bacteria in the ear.

Directions

Preparation:
- Shake the bottle well before each use.
- Ensure the external ear canal is thoroughly cleaned and dried.
- Verify that the eardrum is intact before administering the medication.
Dosage:
- Dogs under 30 lbs: Instill 4 drops into the affected ear once daily.
- Dogs 30 lbs or more: Instill 8 drops into the affected ear once daily.
- Continue treatment for 7 consecutive days or as directed by your veterinarian.
Post-Application:
