Levobunolol (Betagen Liquifilm or AkBeta), is used for dogs and cats for primary and secondary glaucoma. Levobunolol belongs to a class of drugs known as beta-blockers, which affect beta-adrenergic receptors. With the eye, beta-blockers are believed to act on the ciliary body to decrease the amount of aqueous humor produced.

Indications

Levobunolol Hydrochloride Ophthalmic Solution has been shown to be effective in lowering intraocular pressure and may be used in patients with chronic open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension.
