Description

Enhance your diagnostic accuracy with I-Glo Fluorescein Sodium Ophthalmic Strips, a trusted tool for evaluating ocular surface conditions in both veterinary and human ophthalmology. Each strip is impregnated with sterile fluorescein sodium dye, enabling quick and reliable staining of the corneal surface to detect injuries, foreign bodies, and tear film irregularities.

These strips are ideal for use during eye examinations, contact lens fittings, and tonometry procedures. Designed for single-use application, they help maintain a sterile environment and reduce cross-contamination risks in clinical settings.

Key Features:

  • Sterile Diagnostic Aid: Each strip is pre-impregnated with 1.0 mg of fluorescein sodium for consistent and effective ocular staining.
  • Easy-to-Use Format: Individually wrapped, single-use strips for hygienic application and reduced contamination risk.
  • Quick Detection: Clearly reveals corneal abrasions, ulcers, and other ocular surface defects under cobalt blue light.
  • Ideal for Veterinary Use: Frequently used in canine, feline, and equine ophthalmic exams.
  • Multipurpose Application: Useful for tear film evaluation, contact lens fitting, applanation tonometry, and foreign body detection.
  • Convenient Packaging: Supplied in a box of 100 individually wrapped sterile strips—ideal for high-volume practices.
Indications for Use:
  • Detection of corneal abrasions, ulcers, or lesions
  • Evaluation of contact lens fit and movement
  • Assessment of tear film and dry eye conditions
  • Identification of ocular foreign bodies
  • Aid in applanation tonometry procedures

Directions

Directions for Use:
  1. Moisten the fluorescein strip with a sterile saline solution or ophthalmic irrigating fluid.
  2. Gently apply the moistened tip to the lower fornix of the eye.
  3. Instruct the patient to blink to distribute the dye across the ocular surface.
  4. Examine the eye using a cobalt blue light for optimal visibility of staining patterns.
Storage Instructions:
  • Store at room temperature, away from excessive moisture and direct sunlight.
  • Do not use if packaging is damaged or if the strip has been previously opened.
Caution:
  • For professional use only.
  • Avoid direct contact with corneal surfaces using force.
  • Discard after single use to prevent contamination.
  • Not intended for use with injectable or ingestible applications.
