Hydroxyzine Pamoate, is a prescription medication that is used to treat itchy skin due to allergies. With fewer side effects than corticosteroids, it blocks the histamines that cause allergic reactions. It can also be used as a sedative. Customers may receive this drug under the name Vistaril (Hydroxyzine pamoate).
Hydroxyzine is indicated for the treatment of inflammatory and allergic conditions such as snake bites, vaccination reactions, blood transfusion reactions, bee stings and insect bites, and managing itchy skin.

Store this medication at room temperature away from moisture and heat.
It should not be used in pregnant or nursing animals. Hydroxyzine may cause drowsiness. Be sure to tell your veterinarian about any health conditions or other drugs your dog or cat may be taking.
