Barrier is specifically designed to offer a full-line comparison to Advantage Multi (sold separately). Barrier for Dogs is used for the prevention of heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria immitis and the treatment of Dirofilaria immitis-circulating microfilariae in heartworm-positive dogs. It also kills adult fleas and treats flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis). Barrier for Dogs is indicated for the treatment and control of sarcoptic mange caused by Sarcoptes scabiei var. canis. It may also be used to treat and control the following intestinal parasites species—Hookworms (Ancylostoma caninum) (Uncinaria stenocephala), Roundworms (Toxocara canis and Toxascaris leonina) and Whipworms (Trichuris vulpis). Instructions Recommended Dosage Administer the entire contents of a single dose tube (or appropriate combination of tubes for cats over 18 lbs. and dogs over 110 lbs.) of Barrier® topically in accordance to the label directions.
