Barrier for Cats is indicated for the prevention of heartworm disease, flea infestations, and tick infestations in cats. It is approved for use in cats 8 weeks of age and older.
The topical solution is applied to the skin on the back of the cat's neck, where it is absorbed into the bloodstream and distributed throughout the cat's body. It provides up to 4 weeks of protection against heartworms, fleas, and ticks, making it an effective and convenient option for cat owners.
Barrier for Cats contains two active ingredients, Imidacloprid and Moxidectin, which work together to protect your cat from heartworm, flea, and tick infestations.
Imidacloprid is a neurotoxin that targets the nervous system of fleas and ticks, causing paralysis and death. It disrupts the insects' ability to feed, ultimately leading to their demise.
Moxidectin is a parasiticide that works by interfering with the nervous system of parasites, including heartworm larvae, preventing them from developing into adult worms.
When applied to the skin, Barrier for Cats is absorbed into the bloodstream, where it is distributed throughout the cat's body. Fleas, ticks, and heartworm larvae are exposed to the active ingredients when they come into contact with the cat's skin, leading to their elimination.
By using Barrier for Cats regularly, you can help protect your feline friend from these harmful parasites and ensure their continued health and well-being.
