How It Works

Active Ingredient

Agri-Mectin (Ivermectin 1%) Sterile Injection provides broad-spectrum parasite control for cattle and swine. This potent antiparasitic is administered via subcutaneous injection and is effective against internal worms, lungworms, lice, and mange mites, helping support herd health and productivity.

Cattle Dosage (200 µg/kg)

Inject subcutaneously under loose skin in front or behind the shoulder. Use a sterile 16-gauge, ½–¾” needle. Each 1 mL treats approximately 110 lb (50 kg). Do not exceed 10 mL per injection site.

Swine Dosage (300 µg/kg)

Inject subcutaneously in the neck using a 16–20 gauge needle. Each 1 mL treats approximately 75 lb. Ensure proper restraint for safety.

Injection & Handling Guidelines

• Cattle: Subcutaneously under the shoulder using sterile 16-gauge needles. Auto-syringes are recommended for multi-dose vials.
• Swine: Subcutaneous injection in the neck region. Choose needle gauge appropriate to age and size.
• Always clean injection sites and use proper aseptic technique.

Recommended Treatment Protocols

Swine: Treat breeding stock at key reproductive stages and feeder pigs before placement. Repeat as needed based on reinfestation risk.

1. Sows: 7–14 days pre-farrowing
2. Gilts: 7–14 days pre-breeding
3. Boars: Twice annually or as advised by a veterinarian
4. Feeder Pigs: Pre-placement; retreat if reinfestation occurs

Special Use in Other Species

Agri-Mectin may also be used in reindeer (for warbles) and American bison (for grubs) at 200 µg/kg subcutaneously. Do not treat within 56 days of slaughter.

Precautions & Side Effects

• Injection site swelling or mild discomfort may occur. For larger cattle doses, split across multiple sites.
• Monitor for signs of clostridial infection. Seek veterinary care if adverse symptoms appear.
• Use sterile, single-use equipment only. Do not administer IV or IM.
• Store in original container, protected from light and extreme temperatures.

Residue & Withdrawal Guidelines

• Cattle: Do not treat within 35 days of slaughter. Not approved for use in dairy cattle of breeding age or pre-ruminating calves.
• Swine: Do not treat within 18 days of slaughter.
