Description

Onsior (Robenacoxib) Tablets for Cats are a fast-acting, veterinarian-recommended nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) designed to manage acute pain and inflammation following soft-tissue or orthopedic surgery in cats. With targeted action and selective COX-2 inhibition, Onsior provides effective pain relief while minimizing gastrointestinal side effects.

Key Benefits of Onsior for Cats:

  • 24-Hour Pain Relief: A single dose provides fast and long-lasting pain relief for up to 24 hours.
  • Post-Surgical Support: Helps manage pain and inflammation after soft-tissue and orthopedic surgeries such as spaying, neutering, and fracture repair.
  • Palatable Tablet: Flavored tablets are easy to administer and well-accepted by cats.
  • Veterinarian Approved: Trusted and prescribed by veterinarians for short-term pain management in cats.
  • Convenient Packaging: Comes in easy-to-use 3-pack blister packets, ideal for post-op recovery.

How Onsior Works:

Onsior contains robenacoxib, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that specifically targets the COX-2 enzyme responsible for pain and inflammation. Unlike traditional NSAIDs, it spares the COX-1 enzyme, which helps maintain healthy stomach lining and platelet function. The medication is rapidly absorbed into the bloodstream and begins acting quickly, offering targeted relief with fewer gastrointestinal side effects.

Indications for Use:

  • Onsior Injection: Indicated for the control of postoperative pain and inflammation in cats ≥ 4 months of age following orthopedic surgery, ovariohysterectomy, or castration. Use for up to 3 days.
  • Onsior Tablets for Cats: Indicated for the control of postoperative pain and inflammation in cats weighing ≥ 5.5 lbs (2.5 kg) and aged ≥ 4 months. Use for up to 3 days following surgery.

Always administer Onsior exactly as prescribed by your veterinarian. Not for long-term use. Monitor your cat for any signs of adverse reactions during treatment.

Onsior Dosage Guidelines for Cats

The recommended dosage of Onsior tablets is 0.45 mg/lb (1 mg/kg) orally once daily for up to 3 days. Tablets are not scored and should not be split. For cats ≥ 5.5 lbs and ≥ 4 months of age only.

My cat loves this!

This product seems to really help my cat and, unlike other medications, I don't have to try to sneak it into a treat or food. He will eat it entirely by itself and seems to like the taste. It's very small too and not in a capsule so easy to take.

This product has eased our senior cat's pain to the point that she is now acting more like a kitten. It is wonderful seeing her run around the house and jump on the couch and bed again. She couldn't do those things because of pain prior to taking Onsior. The product is easy to order and Entirely Pets ships it out in a timely manner. Thank you, Entirely Pets!
