Description

TriTop Ointment can be used as a short-term or long-term therapy treatment for external conditions such as inflammation of the outer ear or mucous membranes. This medicated ointment is also effective for healing minor cuts, scratches, superficial wounds and incisions after surgical procedures on dogs, cats and horses.

TriTop Ointment has also been found to be effective when used as a therapeutic treatment for abrasions of the ears and skin that are often caused by steroid responsive dermatoses, which inflicts disease on certain animals. This potent creamy ointment contains an added anesthetic that helps to reduce pain when applied to affected areas, as well as a strong anti-inflammatory agent that reduces the swelling often followed after an injury. Additionally, the TriTop Ointment is a strong medicated ointment that can reduce the risk of serious infections in horses, dogs and cats.

Prescription Required

Ingredients

Isoflupredone Acetate, Neomycin Sulfate, Tetracaine Hydrochloride

Directions

Precautions The external ear of the animal should be thoroughly checked to make sure that the tympanic membrane is not broken before applying the medication into the ear. If the animal presents any hearing loss during the therapy, withdraw the medicine forthwith and take the opinion of the veterinarian. If no significant progress is noticed or swelling and irritation persists even after three days of therapy, reconsider the treatment options. Do not use TriTop in animals with hypersensitivity to this ointment.

Dosage TriTop is available in 10 gm tubes with convenient applicator tip. For ear infections, such as otitis externa, apply the ointment into the external ear canal 1 to 3 times every day. While treating skin infections care should be taken to clean the infected area before applying the medicine. Apply for 1 to 3 times a day as the anesthetic effect can relieve the pain thereby significantly reducing the trauma of the animal.
