Drug compounding is often regarded as the process of combining or mixing drugs to create a medication tailored to the needs of an individual patient.

PILIGUARD® PINKEYE+7 for the vaccination of healthy cattle as an aid in the control of pinkeye caused by Moraxella bovis strains expressing pili similar to those expressed by isolates referred to as Strains EPP 63, FLA 64, and SAH 38, and against diseases caused by Clostridium chauvoei, C. septicum, C. novyi Type B, C. sordellii and C. perfringens Types C and D. Immunity is also provided against the beta and epsilon toxins of an additional clostridial organism, C. perfringens Type B. This immunity is derived from the combination of the Type C (beta) and Type D (epsilon) fractions. The Moraxella components are cell-free bacterin containing pili from Moraxella bovis isolates, referred to as strains EPP 63, FLA 64 and SAH 38.

Dehydrated Alfalfa Meal, Wheat Middlings, Calcium Carbonate, Vitamin E Supplement, Dried Cane Molasses, Dried Beet Molasses, Sodium Selenite, Soybean Oil, Calcium Propionate (Preservative), Silicon Dioxide, Citric Acid (Preservative), Mixed Tocopherols (Preservative), Vegetable Oil, Rosemary Extract.
Using aseptic technique, inject cattle subcutaneously with 5 mL. Repeat in 3-4 weeks and annually prior to periods of extreme risk or parturition. For C. novyi, revaccinate every 5-6 months. Animals vaccinated under 3 months of age should be revaccinated at weaning or at 4-6 months of age.
Store at 2° to 7°C (35° to 45°F). Do not freeze. Shake well before use. Use entire contents when first opened. Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter. Transient local reactions may occur at the injection site. The incidence and severity of reactions may be higher in calves under 3 months of age. If allergic response occurs, administer epinephrine.
